Nicknamed the Emerald City due to its lush greenery, Seattle is best known for its great waterfront, fantastic skyline and infamous rainy weather. In reality though, the city gets less rain a year than New York or Atlanta!
One look at Seattle’s skyline and you’re immediately drawn to its most iconic building, the Space Needle. Standing proudly at 184 metres, this major landmark features a rotating restaurant at 150 metres and was featured on numerous films and TV shows, including the classic "Sleepless in Seattle".
The Needle stands not far from the popular Pike Place Market, a public farmer’s market selling fresh produce and crafts from local farms and independent merchants. It’s also a place where Starbucks Corporation was founded in 1971, and today you can enjoy a cup of coffee in their original store!
Seattle has many popular parks and, thanks to its mild marine climate, is a great place for outdoor activities. A visit to Kerry Park to admire the best view of the city with Mt. Rainier in the background is a must!
Arriving at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you’re only about 35 minutes from the centre of the city and whether you’re looking for a hotel with free parking or near the airport, Booking.com offers a great choice for your Seattle trip.
Lots to do. Went to a Seattle Mariners baseball game.
Lots to do. Went to a Seattle Mariners baseball game. Drove to Anacortes and took the ferry to the San Juan islands. Could have stayed on the island for a few days enjoying the nature. Drove to Mt. Rainier for the day. Beautiful area.

We truly enjoyed our 3 day stay in Seattle - we could've stayed longer but we know we can always come back as it is just a 3 hour drive from Vancouver.
The people we met were all friendly and accommodating. Made a few friends in the process!
Seattle is one of those cities that is meant to be explored leisurely!
We also enjoyed our ferry ride to and back from the beautiful Bainbridge Island.

Pike Place Market interesting to visit but fruit prices over the top way too expensive. Would never buy there again. Did Beneath The Streets underground tour and the tour guide was knowledgeable and informative and factual. Waterfront area views pleasant. We took a taxi from accommodation to sights as it was cheap to do that and go directly to what we wanted to see as the streets were sloped in areas and harder for over 60 yo's to walk. Space Needle was on the to do list and Chulilly gardens but did not have enough time in the 2 days we had. Enjoyed lunch at Buckleys cnr of 2nd Avenue. Great food and value for money. Great service and good atmosphere and decor.

Great city.
Great city. Get the CityPass to enjoy up to 5 of 7 recommended tourist attractions. Stay close to Pike Market as loads of food to eat is around there. Yellow cabs are cheaper than Uber but longer wait time. As with most cities, there are loads of homeless people and many stores are taking precautions against this by limited access to their stores. The Crab Pot is highly recommended for a seafood boil, Icarus’s for clam chowder and the Ponk Door for late dinner.

The city is interesting.
The city is interesting. Love to walk to downtown Seattle, to see the market place and the restaurant. Yummy bread @ Piroshky and also buy coffee @ Starbucks-Pike Place Market. Visit the Space Needle and experience thrilling view over the skyriser glass benches.

The wineries were great.
The wineries were great. My favorite was St Michelle—close by and beautiful. Hiking the Little Si or the Rattlesnake was fun! Restaurants—Saltys across the bay! Tera Plata was great. Vendemmie was a great Italian restaurant. Macrina was a lovely little bakery and eatery for morning or lunch. Chambers Bay for golf was awesome! Just walking the wharf was beautiful!
We thought a number of factors:
- Location; downtown and walking distance to the Space Needle Tower and multiple museums. Walking distance to The Pike Market by the Waterfront;
- Modern facilities with pool and gym;
- Provision of all day seating in the eating area after the complimentary breakfast. This included use of the microwave;
- Business Centre was free and printing was free;
- Prompt response by the hotel staff on some issues we raise - excellent customer service.
One of the best priced hotels in downtown with seriously the the best facilities. I had an alimony in seattle and decided to make it a relaxing getaway as well so the facilities were a big deal. Didn’t disappoint with MULTIPLE pools, steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs and even a plunge pool at no extra cost. The workout facilities were excellent, The rooms were more than well equipped with a full size fridge/freezer, stove, oven and a large deck for hanging.
Road trip with the Girls and this hotel suited us perfectly. It was only an 8-minute walk to Seattle Centre (Space Needle (great spot for the views & wine!), Chihuly gallery, etc., and an easy 15-20min walk to Pike Place Market and Downtown shopping. Citizen Cafe, only a few blocks away, became our destination breakfast spot each of the 3 mornings. The beds were super comfy, and the Pineapple theme with whimsical furnishings & decor was cute!
I was extremely grateful to pay a small fee and get into my room several hours early. I’d just come from a 10 night cruise before returning home to Victoria the following morning and was beyond exhausted. Also, the complimentary bag breakfast was much appreciated. Also, the close proximity to the space needle and MOPOP was absolutely perfect! The Travelodge on 6th is reasonable and located in a safe and convenient area of downtown Seattle.
The rooms were very comfortable and quiet considering the hotel being downtown. The location was excellent for everything we did..Seattle Center, we took the monorail to Pikes Place and the Aquarium. There were so many restaurants right next to the hotel and a grocery store down the street. The view from the roof top terrace was amazing!! This will definitely be the place we will stay next time we come to the city.
Good location for easy access to train to airport, Pike Place market and waterfront. Check in was quick and staff helpfully allowed early access to room which was much appreciated after long flight. Also provided a tea kettle when requested. Room was comfortable and well equipped. The building has an old style charm and provides a relaxing change from downtown Seattle
Very good l8cation in downtown of Seattle. It is close to the lightrail train from Airport.
The rooms are comfirtable and big and clean. You free two bottles of water and very good comfortable bed.
The bathroom is modern and clean.
I can realky recommand this hotel!
I not undrrsrand why it gets only 6.0 in booking😑
The hotel (first time stay for me) was very near Benaroya for our evening concert and that was a big plus and the important attraction for us. It's fairly basic, nothing fancy, but our room (two queens) was spacious and clean and comfortable. Beds very comfortable. Good value for the price in downtown Seattle.
Cool hotel with character, a great location and a very comfortable bed. The room was large and clean, the staff was great and helped provide recommendations when needed, and it was easy walking distance to all of downtown Seattle. Would definitely stay here again.
Comfortable well equipped room. Good facilities, e.g. large customer laundry. Bar has good beer. Conveniently located close to downtown the waterfront and Westlake station for the airport train and the Monorail to the Space Needle etc.
The hotel is centrally located in downtown Seattle, and it was okay, but a little too pricey for what it offers. To me it was a very plain hotel. I liked the least, the bathroom in my room. It was very small and uncomfortable.
The best feature of this hotel is the location - right in the heart of the University Of Washington (Seattle) district, next to many restaurants. Perfect location for vising UW! Everything is in a walking distance.
The location of the hotel is good, very close to downtown and my conference hotel and some restaurants. Easily reachable by train from the Seattle airport. The room was clean and the bed comfortable.
This hotel was the best in everyway. It really felt like home away from home. The service, staff, and food was 5 stars. I was totally satisfied and will stay again when we go to Seattle. Excellent!
It is located on the outskirts of Downtown Seattle, very close to the waterfront, but not really a walking distance to anything of interest. The property is quite nice, and the room was well kept.
Location is Hotel Max’s key asset. Took the lite rail from the airport to downtown Seattle and only had a 4 minute walk. Also loved the dark club vibe of the decor.
We love the location in Queen Anne, the proximity to the waterfront, downtown and public transportation along with the rooftop deck.... housekeeping was terrific
Great location in downtown Seattle. Large hotel, decent facilities. Comfy bed. Pike market Seattle and the first Starbucks were at a short walking distance.
